J Prophet Launches New Website JProphetPAP.com Along with 6 Week #WatchListenRead Campaign

New York, NY – February 20, 2012 – After a brief break J Prophet is back on the scene with a new website and campaign that will fill the void of his absence over the past few months. During this time, although not publicly visible, J Prophet has been hard at work restructuring the foundation for the re-launch of his career. “ I’ve been planting seeds over the last couple of months, and I pray that the harvest may bless spirits and feed souls. And I’m so excited to finally get back out there and be able to commune with folks!”

The 6 week #WatchListenRead Campaign is a collection of 3 releases per week consisting of a video series released every Monday (Watch), a collection of freestyles/songs from Dorm Room Sessions released every Tuesday (Listen), and #IWWs released every Wednesday (Read). If you are still here and wanting something different and original, then you have found it. 10-20 Tha b-BOY aPOSTLe is throwback from yesteryear with the rhythm, style and fresh lyrics that helped this culture fall in love with hip-hop in the first place. 10-20 also transparently shares the love of the creator God, our father and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. With a flow as relevant and moving as Jay Z or Nas, he does not try to preach people to life but does share the love and hope that is in the bible. In the words of 10, “Only the goodness of God leads to repentance, and his goodness is his love!”

Heath Honzell who is known by his moniker, i-witness, is from Pittsburg, TX, a small town of about 4,000 people, but currently resides in Whitehouse, Texas. He started his mission for Christ after meeting his future wife in 2009. Heath always loved music. Because of the negative impact it had on his life, he started using the mic to impact people’s lives in a positive way. This album titled, “Free” is his debut album that combines real life experiences with urban/underground music. The album features collabs with Manchild (of Mars ill and DeepSpace 5), Johnny Bishop, Redd Lettaz, and Rapture. The Producers on this record are Johnny Bishop, Anno Domini, & The Unbeatables.

Now let’s get into the album. It opens with the “Free” intro that sounds like a well known ministry’s commercial off of The Word Network. I like the quote off the intro “You can’t testify off the stuff you heard, you can only testify off of what you know!”

fuse TV interviewed New York Knicks’ newest star Jeremy Lin before taking the basketball world by storm.  In this interview Jeremy  recommends a few of his favorite music artists, one of which is Christian Hip-Hop artist Lecrae.  Lin tells fuse TV, ”an artist you gotta check out is Lecrae, he’s a Christian rapper. He just raps a lot about the Gospel and about Christian music.”  Honestly, I didn’t take the Harvard grad as a hip-hop kinda guy but apparently he is.  He further elaborates why he enjoys Lecrae’s music, ”I really enjoy his lyrics as well. So if you’re a big lyrics guy, I think that would be a good fit for you.”

In case you have not figured it out by now, Jeremy is a devoted and outspoken Christian. Oh and he also enjoys listening to Hill Song.

Exposure has a theme of exposing people to Christ, Truth, and Real Life Issues like the consequences of selling drugs, etc.

The Compilation project from Longevity Music (founded by Corey Hicks) features artists: Joint Heirz, Moon Man Clique, and Corey Hicks himself. The production is enough to make anyone want to jump to preview the album. The Production is from: Marv4mobeats, Tee Wyla, Chrysbeats, Levester Whte, Higher Innerprice, Esso, Corey Hicks, B. Wright, and Jaleel.

First things first, if you are a Corey Hicks fan… You are delivered the same music you came to love in the first place. Corey Hicks flipped his style of music that most fans are used to (and love), and that’s that grimy, bumping, southern style New Orleans rap.

The tracks that stuck out the most to me on this compilation were: Exposure, Whole 9, The Game, Bold, and My Everything. However I did think that the entire album was fairly decent and noteworthy.

In a world where mankind hates GOD & continually rebels against his will, it’s not a surprise that people refuse to submitt to the authority of Jesus Christ. The culture today we live in is a self-promoting culture that displays the need of Christ isn’t truth, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a joke & a waste of time. But Da Messenger is here to stand firm on truth telling this world to “BOW DOWN” to the one true GOD & Lord, Jesus Christ!
