This mixtape is horribly great. It is a bad quality, yet good quality mixtape. It has good spitting, yet bad spitting. There is a contradiction here. Or is there? Let me explain. This mixtape has what you would expect from most Christian Hip Hop mixtapes; poor quality. I’ve made better quality songs with a $60 dollar mic, and audacity (And I’m being serious). Despite the bad quality, I thought many of the lines had some good quality. Not only that, but the word play was pretty good. There was some nice spitting on this album. Yet at the same time with the quality of the album being so bad you can hear a spitting type of noise every time he says something. Okay, so maybe it’s not quite that bad.

Another thing that contributed to the mixtape quality being poor was the fact that he remixed songs like “You’re a Jerk”. He used songs that really don’t seem to have anything to do with Christianity. He even remixed a song that said on the chorus, “got money on my mind I can never get enough.” I understand the song he remixed was about winning, but I thought it hurt the concept of the mixtape, not to mention the quality.

If you listen to this mixtape, you may not be horribly annoyed with the quality. If you’re looking for a man who can spit, you have come to the right place. Convinced can rhyme well. He also had some pretty good content on the mixtape, and he also had great word play. I was actually really surprised as to how great the word play was.

If you want to see potential, Convinced has it. I assure you, this mixtape might entertain you a little, and the word play might put a smile to your face, but the quality was poor, the production was very poor, and there wasn’t much of a concept. But Convinced has great word play, a great flow, a great voice, and great talent. I don’t just say that about everybody either. I am fully “Convinced” that we will see “Convinced” again, and once he improves the quality and comes with some real production, maybe he will drop something hot. I hope so.  I’m definitely looking forward to it.
