International Gospel Recording Artist, Ms. Ty Scott, Announces Booking for International Dates of The Identity Tour
DOTHAN, AL – June 13, 2012 – Billboard charting Gospel poet, rapper, and author, Ms. Ty Scott, has officially launched her summer concert series, “The Identity Tour,” which she kicked off May 26 in Tuscaloosa, AL and ends July 29, 2012. The tour’s concept, ( inspired through a sermon by Bishop L. Spenser Smith), is an artistic and spiritual connector between Scott’s 2010 highly-acclaimed CD release, “E 3:20,”and her upcoming CD.
While she spent years performing on the road as one half of the Gospel rap duo, Platinum Souls, “The Identity Tour”, (which also includes a book tour for “Scott Free,” her poetic autobiography) is Scott’s first official tour to date.
“I’ve always wanted people to know God is concerned about them, and that there is freedom in knowing who you are, and whose you are,” said Scott. “When your identity is linked to your situation or your past, it’s hard to believe you can live beyond your wildest dreams until you first know you’re His.”
The tour, which offers a revealing examination, and embracing of one’s individuality in God, features some of Scott’s new material, as well as some of her most intimate tracks, like: “Superhero,” “I AM,” “His Passion,” and a surprise remake of Justin Timberlake’s “Dead and Gone”.
“I’m learning myself, and my personality . . . accepting that it’s okay to be myself,” Scott said. “I believe this is a message that is always relevant regardless of how much one has elevated.”
Booking is still available for upcoming dates on the tour schedule.
