Shekinah Glory’s sound can be best described as the art of jazz redeemed back to God’s original intention… His glorification.
A lover of jazz she spent several years studying the sounds of Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne and Sarah Vaughn. These women built the foundation for the sound she presents to the world today.
For many years she battled with a sound that didn’t fit “mainstream” Christian music. After winning the 2011 Evanston MISFIT Search, she realized that she was not alone. God’s intention for her was to be His and not look or sound like anyone but the woman He created her to be.
Shekinah Glory seeks to reach the lost and those in need of Christ’s never ending grace through song… When asked to describe her sound she simply replies…
“Sound of Ella Fitzgerald + Love of Christ = Shekinah Glory”
