Xoul City – Give Us Free (Chains off Remix)

In December Xoul City released their first music video for the June 2020 release “GiveUsFree (Chains off Remix),” an update to a song of lament expressing their frustrations as black Christian men amidst the civil unrest of the past eight years. Accordingly, the video melds masterfully with the inspired work of Xoul City members Saelah (lyrics) and Preppy (production) chopped together with a stirring J.Cole performance to take viewers on a historical survey of each injustice and heartbreaking loss that inspired this song.

This new export from the city of Xoul was shot and directed by the talented Kristi Woodard for Louisiana based Mahogoni Media. “GiveUsFree (Chains off Remix)” is available to download for free at xoulcity.bandcamp.com.
