He explained that he was chasing material success and fame, but his encounter with law enforcement and my subsequent overdose made him realize the emptiness of that pursuit. Von made a promise to God that if he saved him from that situation, he would serve Him for the rest of his life.

In April of that year, Von flushed his drugs down the toilet and attended Lakewood Church, where he had a transformative experience. he described the feeling of chains breaking off his life and the freedom he found in surrendering to God. he concluded by mentioning the temptations and opportunities he had in the music industry and how he decided to leave it to focus on his relationship with God.
