JAY DAVIDS DROPS “YOU GO I GO”

(PRESS RELEASE) Philadelphia, PA – August 22, 2025 – NRT Music announces the release of “You Go I Go,” the new single from Jay Davids. The track blends blues, soul, and gospel-infused grit with heartfelt authenticity, carrying listeners into a space of trust and surrender.

Written by Jason Schaarschmidt (Jay Davids) and produced by Bryant Urich, “You Go I Go” was born out of a season of uncertainty and wrestles with the tension between control and surrender. Inspired by Psalm 119:105, the song becomes a laid-back yet powerful declaration of faith–anchored in hope and guided one step at a time.

Jay Davids describes his music as restoration songs for people “in the middle of it”–those still showing up, still holding on. With a sound that blends the soul of gospel and R&B with the grit of southern rock, Jay’s artistry is shaped by real-life struggle and hard-won hope. His lyrics are raw and honest, pointing listeners back to the Father through themes of healing, reconciliation, and grace. This is Malachi 4:6 in motion. This is restoration music.

About Jay Davids:
Growing up on Long Island, a dreamer named Jay discovered his passion: music flowed through his veins. At home, dinner table sing-alongs were the norm, interweaving bluegrass, gospel, and praise tunes. This haven of warmth and unconventionality embraced “adopted” family members, overflowed with love, and nurtured faith. Jay’s heart is dedicated to reconciliation, and his journey is a tapestry woven with threads of pain and triumph, loss and redemption, all intricately bound by faith and resilience. With raw honesty, Jay’s message touches the heart. Combining hard-earned experiences with catchy hooks, delivering profound truths, and finding peace in the Comforter of broken souls to communicate through song what words alone struggle to convey. Jay’s musical style seamlessly blends the rough edges of classic and southern rock, the irresistible groove of R&B and funk, and the nuanced melodies reminiscent of the piano men who’ve left an indelible mark on generations.
