Hollyn Signs With Darkchild Drops New LP

Alongside Grammy-winning production group Weathrman, veteran vocalist Hollyn shares her new album titled Theology of Beauty: Fall. The quick-strike release includes 12-cohesive cuts and comes coupled with the announcement of both parties signing to Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins‘ Alienz Alive label as well as the music video for “Blackberry.” Three additional projects that flow seamlessly into the remaining seasons (WinterSpring, and Summer) will be released as apart of a larger Theology of Beauty anthology over the next year.

“Joining Alienz is exciting to us because we’ve always wanted to be a part of a team that values what we value. Creative integrity, advocacy for artists, faithful gospel witness and discipleship through the arts, are some of the things we feel called to and what Rodney as well as his team are about.

For us this partnership is a custom fit,” says the first lady in a joint press statement with the Weathrman about joining the roster.

Darkchild adds:

“When I first connected with Hollyn, I could sense right away that her heart and calling lined up perfectly with what we’re building at Alienz Alive. This isn’t just about music; it’s about discipleship, creativity, and stewarding the gifts God has given us to point people back to Him.

Having Hollyn and the Weathrman join our mission feels like confirmation that we’re moving in the direction God intends for us.”

Raised by her parents in Waverly (Ohio) along with her younger brother Michael, Holly “Hollyn” Miller quickly developed a passion for performing, singing in church, and leading her youth group band. At the age of 16, she auditioned for American Idol and was featured on the show’s 12th season. Shortly after that, she connected with TobyMac through a mutual friend of her father’s and relocated to Nashville to refine her unique blend of R&B-leaning pop music.

Hollyn continued her musical journey by performing shows across the United States and internationally. She has collaborated with various artists, including Nico & Vinz, Tommee Profitt, Andy Mineo, Steven Malcolm, and Tree Giants. Her experiences on the road and exposure from national TV helped her grow her social media presence and gain recognition in prestigious outlets like Forbes. Her personable approach to art, focusing on her identity, has created a deep bond with fans as she often explores topics such as relationships and self-discovery.

Now a wife and mother of one, Hollyn relocated to Philadelphia, where she’s been working on music with experienced producer collective Weathrman, which reflects her current season in life.
