Aderinto Adefela is a Nigerian gospel song writer, composer and artist who resides in the South West region, Ibadan, Oyo State, Ibadan.
Aderinto Adefela’s musical journey began as a young boy, when his little mind was impressed by the hymnody of his late uncle Akinsegun Akintola who had pleasure in singing hymns from the Songs of Praise.
This influence led him to join the choir in his childhood church, First Baptist Church, Idi Ayunre Ibadan.
Later on, he founded a group called Total Victory Mass Choir and organized concert during festive seasons and monthly praise night.
In 1996, he joined Soul Harvest Evangelical Mission, Ibadan where he wrote and composed songs and served as the choir master.
While his love for music led him to join the choir at the age of 10, the calling into the music ministry happened in 1993.
It was at Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International which met every Tuesday in his neighborhood.
The late Dr Akinwale made an altar call for individuals to join ministry groups in the fellowship.
Everyone in attendance responded to the altar call in respect of the group of their choice except him and one other person.
The two of them were invited to the altar, anointed and prayed for that God would lead them to know where he wants them to serve Him in the fellowship.
On his 20 mins trek back home, a new chapter was opened in his life. He experienced an overflowing joy in the Holy Spirit (such a joy that he couldn’t explain why but was real), and sang a new song all the way.
From that day, the gift to write and compose songs was birthed in him.
