Raised as a military brat, Carita discovered her talent at age 7 learning how to play the piano by ear. At age 11, she started playing the trumpet. Observing her mother sing in church, she quickly wanted to follow behind her. Soon later, she began recording her own music and producing her unique style.

In May of 2011, she was on Shade 45 “Don’t quit your day job” and premiered her songs “Better Than You” and “Heaven”, and scored a 4 out of 5 on both from the audience calling in. Carita has also distributed thousands of her mixtapes. In 2010, she generated the most votes, over 23,000, in “The Next Big Thing 2” contest hosted by k97 and Asylum Records. She has performed at countless youth events across Tn. She is also an advocate for abstinence. She tells her testimony about how she has been practicing celibacy for 28 years.
