Lana D is an artist, poet, author and founder of a non-profit, which allows her to give back to her local community. She grew up singing in the children’s choir at her mom’s baptist church. Having been once voted class quietest and burying her talents for comfort, she felt like the unlikely candidate for God to choose as a disciple. However, she went on to lead, youth praise & worship, at her dad’s C.O.G.I.C church and led songs in a chorus group while in college. In 2021 she began to release singles showcasing lyricism, which is her way of reciting poetry with cadence to a beat.

In striving to continuously improve and challenge herself, Lana D auditioned for and attended a Maverick City Music online songwriting camp during the pandemic when she first began her journey. Since she’s collaborated with producers and notable artist within the Christian Hip Hop community such as S.O, Battz, OnBeatMusic and more. By keeping the faith, even in seasons of being hidden and isolated, Lana D has been blessed to have had multiple songs played on Sirius XM radio.
