Finding Peace in the Chaos: Adia’s Inspiring Mental Health and Music Journey

On this episode of Da Fixx, our guest is the super talented songwriter, producer, and artist Adia shares her faith journey, how she prioritizes mental health and how she found her peace.

Adia is not only a performer, but the Pastor Mike Jr. protege also does vocal arrangements for mainstream and gospel artists. She talks about her love for singing and how she realized her above-average gift for it. She also discusses her mental health practices, including prioritizing quiet time.

We were blown away by Adia’s story. She’s been singing since she was four years old and has been in girl groups before realizing her strength in vocals and melodies. She talks about how singing and writing are the only things she feels she is above average at. It’s amazing to hear how she’s turned her passion into a successful career.

Peace be still

What we found most inspiring about AEA was her focus on mental health. She talks about how she prioritizes quiet time for herself and focuses on her relationship with God. It’s so important to take care of our mental health, and Adia’s story is a great reminder of that.

Towards the end of the episode, we briefly discuss some news trending out of Uganda. We talk about the recent enactment of the Anti-Homosexuality Act of 2023, which bans same-sex relations and imposes severe penalties, including up to life imprisonment and the death penalty.

Overall, this episode was really inspiring and thought-provoking. We highly recommend giving it a listen. As Adia says, “I believe that if you have a gift, you should use it to the best of your ability.” It’s a great message to live by.
