WAG-1 UK: ALIGNED VISION A KEY PILLAR IN UK CHH AND A SPOTLIGHT ON RAPPER & PRODUCER K LEWIS

Published on March 3, 2025

Hello Guys, so how’s the year 2025 for you?

If you are happy, rejoice and give praise, and if things aren’t good, pray. By the way, that’s not original advice. I got this counsel from James 5:13. Whether in good or unhappy circumstances we can rejoice in the Lord whose peace surpasses all circumstances.

This article highlights Aligned Vision a Production Company that has grown to become an important pillar in UK Christian Hip Hop. I will also discuss an artist who combines gospel proclamation and social commentary well. The UK is bursting with talent and it is a privilege to highlight rising stars making a massive contribution to this well-loved genre. 2025 is already another great year in Christian Hip Hop and I’m sure not just in the UK but around the world.

Aligned Vision Continuing in their Awesome Work

The reason we love platforms like Holy Culture is because it’s a media platform that champions the genre and artists we love and Aligned Vision is no different.

Founded by Zelijah Tishbite who is also a well-loved Drill rapper based in the country’s capital, he is also a wonderful video producer who not only produces music videos but has created a platform that features artists doing what they do well.

From the “Top Up” and “Live Style” freestyles where rappers are invited to drop a hot 16 to releasing the latest videos from rappers from the UK and worldwide, the platform has gained a following and a trusted name for those who want to be in the know in the world of Christian Hip Hop in the UK and even neighboring countries such as France and Belgium.

Zelijah is yet another example of one who has a vision and works hard to see it established. Furthermore, if it’s the Lord’s will He will establish our steps and cause us to walk in the good works that He has planned that we may walk in them as the bible tells us in Ephesians 2:10.
When you get a chance hit up their YouTube page and socials and you will find that the Drill sound is all the rage however you will find dope boom bap freestyles such as that of Rapper Shack Santima.

Artist Spotlight: K Lewis and his Latest EP: Liberation

CHH is massive in the UK with numerous talent emerging from all over the country. Today I’d like to highlight a rapper worth mentioning and his latest EP release.

The artist who began as a secular artist is known for his lyrical prowess, and being a lighting engineer at various live events. K Lewis writes songs that overtly proclaim Christ on one hand but also offer social commentary and life experiences from the vantage point of one who the Lord Jesus has redeemed. A perfect illustration of this is his New EP Liberation.

The first track “Thousand” is an illustration of his ability to play a thousand words. A myriad of themes run through the song such as his confidence in Christ, his confidence in his competency in rapping, his love for his girlfriend as well as his recognition of his need for Christ as his savior friend, and redeemer.

For those that love metaphors and punchlines then track 02 is for you with these poetic devices featured from the start of the song. The track “George Clooney” addresses tales of peer pressure he endured from older youth trying to groom him into dealing drugs and all that’s affiliated with hood gangs and this would have been his trajectory save for the Gospel
of Jesus Christ.

If you want something that gets in your feels then the next song “Lord Heal Me Please” is for you. The track is self-explanatory asking for God’s help. A poignant part of the track is when he questions why therapy is expensive with the need for him among many others who are in search of such service to help deal with mental health issues and past traumas.

The EP culminates with “I am free” a celebratory piece of music expressing victory in Christ despite life’s ups and downs and the artist features a choir as the crescendo in the song which adds to the joyous feel in the song.

The project though small in size gives the listener a journey through the rapper’s life. A story one can relate to as we all have joys and tribulations yet understand that God is working it all out for our God with a joyous end in glory when our Saviour takes us home.

The Life Music App- A Future Gamechanger

Life is not always as upbeat as the Afrogospel songs you would hear. More often the melancholy feel you sense in K Lewis’ “Lord Help Me Please” might be the nominated track for where you are at in life. Yet be encouraged that the Lord Jesus is with you and he will never forsake you. Trust that he is working it out for your good so fix your eyes on he who is the author and finisher of our faith.

Keep Holding on and running the race God has set for you, knowing that all who labor in the Lord don’t do it in vain. Rather, they will be rewarded, and the Lord will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Let this sacred truth be a source of encouragement, whatever circumstances we find ourselves in today. In addition, please do not do this life alone we are meant to encourage each other in this race.
