EmanuelDaProphet Releases “Holy Steppin” & “Ghetto Gospel” Ft. Rich The Kid
Published on November 6, 2023
EmanuelDaProphet drops two of this season’s hottest tracks and videos in the recently relaunched Tamla Records.
Tamla Records, originally founded in June 1958, had deep-seeded roots in gospel thanks to Marv Johnson. Now, thanks to EJ Gaines, Senior VP of Marketing at Capitol CMG, it has been brought back to life. According to Gaines, “Gospel music is part of Black music. It’s not separate faith music; it’s not exclusive. It’s part of what we do culturally. And Tamla was just sitting there, acknowledged for its value but not really being used to continue the legacy. So that’s where we’re picking up.”
For Emanuel’s part, he said, “It’s a real dream come true to partner with these teams, from Encouragement Music and QC to the historic Tamla Records. It’s a lesson to never give up on anything you start because one day, your life can change in a blink of an eye.”
Thomas “Tillie” Mann produced both singles and chronicle the life-saving grace of grace and the transformation EmanuelDaProphet has seen in his life since. Both songs are fire, and the collaboration between EmanuelDaProphet and Rich The Kid is genius.
