Every Christian must watch this!

Jay Bizzze’s “Don’t Get It Sweet” is a Wake-Up Call to the Church.

Split into two tracks, PART I: DOWN WIT IT begins as a warning to Christians of a dangerous trend that has begun to rise in many Christian spaces (specifically Christian Hip Hop), where artists either knowingly or unknowingly push the unbiblical narrative that Christians can kill demons.

Nowhere in Scripture does a human being kill a demon, but what is in Scripture is Jude 1:8-13, where the brother of Jesus cautions about false teachers who make slanderous judgments against angelic beings like Satan.

When one of the most powerful angels of God, Michael, came face to face with Satan, he didn’t make threats to assault him, but appealed to God, who alone will destroy him. How much more should Christians who are in the earthly realm appeal to God when attacked by the enemy?

On PART II: DON’T GET IT SWEET, Jay Bizzze spins the popular phrase “Don’t think it’s sweet” which means “don’t think we’re on good terms” and offers a reminder to Christians that just because God has already won our ultimate battle against Satan doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be on alert against him (1 Peter 5:8). Satan is still our greatest enemy, but it’s Jesus, who is the God of peace, who will crush Satan underneath our feet (Romans 16:20), and has given us everything we need to daily withstand his attacks (Ephesians 6:10-18) until Christ returns to destroy Satan once and for all (Revelation 20:7-10).

[PART I]

[Intro]
Yeah
Don’t get it sweet
Don’t get it
Down wit’ it, hmm
Down wit’ it, hmm
Down wit’ it, hmm
Down wit’ it, hmm
Three Z’s

[Chorus]
They be telling lies in they rhymes, are you down wit’ it
Let’s be honest, you ain’t do that crime, are you down wit’ it
Yeah he’s famous, but he’s preaching lies, are you down wit’ it
The only church you see is when online, are you down wit’ it

[Verse]
Hah, hah, hah
I might lose my breath again if I hear one more song again
About you toting glocks and pressing triggers on these demons, man
We wrestle not 'gainst flesh and blood, but rulers and establishments
Jesus runs the board, and Lucy has his cabinet
But when the trumpet horn, the Door will come on back again
Forever with the Lord, and feasting for forever and
Until it’s time for war, and in the white we dazzling
You wanna know what the highest angel told
Satan to his face so bold
Didn’t flash a tool or pole
Just said Lord rebuke you though
C’mon, what we doing bro
Satan is God’s devil, so let’s let ‘em end our wicked foe
Bizzze

[PART II]

[Chorus]
Don’t get it sweet, uh
Don’t get it sweet, uh
Don’t get it sweet, uh
Don’t get it sweet, uh
Don’t get it sweet, uh
Don’t get it sweet, uh
Don’t get it sweet, uh
Don’t get it

[Verse]
Hands raised, when them tears fall
Oh, you can’t take my praise
Made my brand, all for the Don, and threw my cares in the lake
Scenario, worst case, it was scary, bro
But thank God it won’t final like the NBA, no Larry O’
If you want it, come and get it
You want life, He can give it
You want death, we not wit’ it, that’s just wicked and it’s uh
I was dead, now I’m living
Many call themselves a Christian
Up on socials posting giving, never sipped the living water
Please be careful what you posting
It can quickly turn to boasting
Unbelievers see it scrolling, and they think that we a joke
I’m so glad you love the lyrics, and I’m grateful that you hear it
God forbid you see me slipping, and don’t call me out like yo
You good
Like yo
You ready
That Bible all on me just like a rock, it keep me steady
Okay, give me that peace
Philippe’ 4:7
Making him flee, James 4:7
Dealing with grief, Pete 5:7
Hitting my knees, Phillippe’ 4:7 again
Came in clutch, He did it again
Showed me love, He did it again
Out the mud, He did it again
Cleaned me up, He did it again
Satan mad, cause the King of Kings is back
He gon’ stomp the Devil, just like that
