As a song operating within the storyline of the 2023 Kingdom Choice Awards nominated concept album known as “A Radical Interruption: The Motion Picture”, “Freedom Writers” is a look at CONQUEST’S time as a teaching artist in public schools in the past and the present simultaneously. While also exploring his mission statement as a lyricist who is for fighting for people’s freedom to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. “Freedom…” also details the fight for both freedoms on the microphone and in the classroom while addressing everything from social injustice to sexual and gender identity. P.S. This single/EP version of this song features a very special “Director’s Cut” edition aka DC edition, that features the acclaimed Christian lyricist known as ATTAM. Christian hip-hop metaphors so the saints run with me
While focusing on up and comers like the Summer league
With lyrics challenging my walk in life
In accepting Christ who died for me despite my flesh that said that I oughta die

I’m in public schools being a light, giving kids freedom to write
About those demons that lie within in them, their eaten alive
And mistreated, it’s why my after school season’s a vibe

Having their feelings denied before there’s a reasoning why
These feelings speak to their lives, guarded believing in Christ
While I’m dealing with life. Overcoming a marriage

With that 14 word manifesto for the youth to market
That if you’re black, you’re the target in a supermarket
By the minds that’s been renewed by the white supremacist
Instead of Romans 12:2 as Christ intended, they deny the premise
Call our kind a “menace”, use black on black crime as trite defenses
When that’s personal beef, I pray against that and your thoughts of murdering me
Out of fear of being replaced, the perversion is deep
‘Cause this land you never owned, you gained the world to lose your soul
Your love for country’s evil un-refutable
you know the ‘drill’, they’ll blame music for all black and brown murder
So I rap to crowds turned up with that cap and gown fervor
