Jay Bizzze calls the lost to Freedom on “Leave The Wicked Days Behind”

Published on October 29, 2025

Serving as a companion track to his highest-streamed 2023 single, LET THE LORD EXALT YOU, Christian Rapper, speaker, and CEO of HizBizNiz, Jay Bizzze, dedicates LEAVE THE WICKED DAYS BEHIND to anyone on the fence about pursuing Christ. In a soothing and meditative tone, the song commences with a heartfelt prayer from Jay that is so intimate, it feels as if you were there in the studio with him. But not long after, we see this prayer is not for himself, but rather an intercessory prayer for everyone who hits play on this soulful rap ballad.

Keeping in line with his vow to always write his own lyrics, Jay’s storytelling ability shines bright as he uses three verses to pen from 3 different walks of life. The first picture he paints in this story is one that he recognizes all too well. Each lyric here is a brushstroke on the canvas of his life, as he takes the listener back to the days when his struggles with lust were a seemingly unwinnable battle, and the YOUNG SAMSON album was a mere thought. After many days and nights of confessing the same sin he knew he would later commit again, Verse 1 ends with a glimmer of hope, as he admits his weakness and brings his doubts to Jesus.

And it’s this hope and trust in Jesus that what He offers far surpasses anything the world has to offer, that knits Jay’s faith journey with those listening who may be seeking to leave the negative influences of their environment, like in Verse 2. But perhaps, one of the most remarkable moments in Jay’s faith journey takes place in Verse 3, where he writes to the very same people who once were a snare to him. From the overflow of gratitude to Jesus for His saving and sanctifying work in his life, Jay writes to those considering leaving the adult entertainment industry behind, and how Christ’s love for them satisfies their every need. Inspired by 1 Peter 4:1-5, Jay firmly, yet lovingly, calls those who are torn between following God and falling back into old sin habits to LEAVE THE WICKED DAYS BEHIND.
