Texas – On February 21, 2024, the world received the first full-length album from Christian rap & reggaeton artist Lexly Nirvana. The album, entitled “Ascender,” started off powerfully with the title track setting the tone for the project and letting the audience know God gave her the microphone to use and she will not shy away from it.

Nearly six months later, all previous expectations were shattered as Lexly made it known that she was coming for the dance floor. Linking up with producer Precursor Mentality, “Ascender” received the remix treatment, taking on a new life as a Jersey Club dance track. “Ascender (Precursor Mentality Remix)” received critical acclaim and marked new sonic territory for the flourishing artist.

Not looking to lose any momentum, Lexly also released a music video for the remix, directed by Baldemar Garcia for 1st Class Cinema. Whereas the original version of the song made it clear Lexly came to fight for her purpose, the remix shows her audience how to have a “Holy Ghost Party,” incorporating futuristic vibes by means of the outfits and the Cybertruck that makes an appearance in the video.

As Lexly describes the song, “The ‘Ascender’ remix is an upbeat track that talks about standing up for truth and not letting fear take control. We know that God goes before us and He is not going to leave us or forsake us. So very often we don’t believe in ourselves and our purpose but He BELIEVES in us. You have been called for this time. Take your position and rise!”
