Shane Kidd to Drop Underground Hope with Help from Dre Murray, Czar Josh, & More

Shane Kidd has been in the Christian Hip-Hop space for years and is still creating fresh and notable music. On October 3rd, he drops his album Underground Hope. It’s inspired by the James Baldwin quote, “Hope is invented every day.”

“For my 4th studio album, this is not the album I expected to create; it was an album I needed to create,” stated Shane Kidd.
The project features Czar Josh, Bubby Reynolds, Erika Janaé, Nate Mason, Armond WakeUp, Kay Wesley, Dre Murray, ATO, Joe Ayinde, Jasmine Janaye, James Sims IV, and Yellie as they come together to make Kidd’s vision shine through.

“Our world was becoming more divided, socially, politically, and spiritually. I thought about how people are more attentive to their fears than their hopes. I was dealing with my own world too, watching friends having conflicts with each other, and dealing with personal loss and grief. I need hope to show up in my life,” shared Kidd. “So I continued to write because it gives me freedom. At a time I felt buried, I realized I was being planted. I learned that after such grief, there is room for great growth.”
He continued, “So I present Underground Hope as an opportunity for others to know hope is not lost. Hope is Hard, Hope is Honest, and Hope is Healing. It begins with us. Hope takes root in our hearts.”
