Over the past week, he has been putting teasers on social which have garnered hype and lots of chatter from his fans. Posts like this one:
While the “God Hates Sinners” text seems to be placed ironically to contrast the message of the song, fans had quite a bit to say. Some taking it literally, while others understanding the stark untruth of the statement as revealed through the gospel. Still the conversations are doing nothing but fueling the excitement for the new track.
The lyrics are thought provoking going from a sense of hopelessness to one of fiery redemption and victory- the electric guitar adding a expect edge to the song.
