God Hears the Prayers You Never Say Out Loud
This episode of Fresh Leftovers Radio covers a lot of ground: Soulja Boy’s 2028 presidential run, Chipotle’s Ouija-board margarita ad, and a viral interview between Richard Lorenzo Jr. and a warlock. The moment that stays with you, though, is a quiet one.
Queen Lee was dreading hauling heavy bags into a building by herself. She didn’t pray about it or say anything. She only thought, I hope somebody helps me today. When she arrived, a stranger walked up and carried every bag. She sensed God saying, “I created your love language, yet I still speak to you in yours.” Acts of service is how she receives love, and God met her there, before she ever asked.
That led to an honest talk about why so many of us, especially men, don’t know how to receive. Legacy the Prince admitted that affirmation is his top love language, even though he didn’t grow up hearing it. The crew also pushed back on something many of us excuse: calling a lack of self-control “passion.” As one of them put it, “Brutal honesty without compassion is brutality.”
Your homework: Ask God to speak to you in your love language this week, then watch for it. When someone affirms you, don’t deflect. Just say, “I receive that.”
