Othneil Chambers Sr. – DRUNK IN THE SPIRIT

Submitted to a new plan. A fresh new sound from an old soul with roots that stem from island culture combined with Americana textures. A style that’s unboxed and presented as is.

Othneil Chambers Sr.’s music is pivotal to a generation that is called to surrender.

Philadelphia-born, Darby raised, Othneil Chambers was born to two Jamaican, Christian parents who later divorced when he was 8 yrs old.

While being raised in the church, Othneil developed a love for music and instruments. His first instrument, the bass guitar was a pivotal tool in his adolescence, keeping him out of trouble and focused on mastering his craft. At 15, his God-Brother from Canada, showed him FL Studio and the production floodgates opened. From there he would go on to produce for various industry artists, such as French Montana, Sam Adams, and the late Nipsey Hussle.

As time progressed, he began to write songs for his productions which transformed into finding his own personal style of artistry now known as GRock.

His latest project “How To Be A Man Vol 1: BEcoming” is a 3 song experience crafted to tell of the perils of the life of a young man aspiring to become the man he always knew he’d be.

Lyrics

Drunk in the Spirit

Pour me up some
I adore you
Fill my cup
Pour me up
Gimme some of that goodness
Gimme more of that good stuff
Fill my cup
Pour me up

I wanna drink from that fountain
That never runs dry
I want that kind
That flows from the most high

Drrrruuuuunnnkk
Fill me cup
Pour me up

I wanna get
Drrrrrruunnnkkk
In the spirit
Fill my cup
Pour me up

I been going through it
I’ve been in a desert
I’ve been praying for a change in the weather

What shall I render
I only trust one thing
To make it all better

I just wanna get

Drrrrrruunnnkkk
Fill my cup
Pour me up

I wanna get drunk
In the Spirit
Fill my cup
Pour me Up
