Pivoting Into Education & Realities of Parenting

This episode is a special one. One of our very own team members joins us to talk about her journey of pivoting into the education field. From uncertainty to stepping into purpose, we discuss what it looks like to follow a new direction in life and the impact that decision can have on others.

We also get into a meaningful conversation about parenting, sharing perspectives on raising and guiding the next generation, the challenges that come with it, and how our roles at home connect to the work being done in education. We take a deeper look at the realities parents are facing today, especially when it comes to screen time and its growing influence on children. With constant access to devices, many kids are developing shorter attention spans and struggling with emotional regulation, making it harder to process frustration, boredom, and real-life social interactions in healthy ways.

At the same time, we explore the importance of introducing responsibility early—teaching children discipline, accountability, and independence—while also being mindful not to overwhelm them before they are emotionally ready. There is a tension between protecting childhood and preparing kids for the real world, and every decision parents make shapes how children grow, respond, and lead in the future. This conversation invites honest reflection on how we balance guidance, structure, and grace in raising the next generation.”
