Brea Miles is no newcomer. She’s commanded festival stages of 40,000-plus, charted on the mainstream hip hop side, and built a ministry that reaches from the concert stage into the public school system. But when she sat down with King Cyz on WhatItIzWhatItBeezLike?!, the conversation didn’t stay on the numbers. It went somewhere most artist interviews never do.

She opened up about a stretch of relentless loss — funeral after funeral, long drives across state lines, cooking for family while trying to hold everyone else together and never letting herself break. And in walking through that grief, she came face to face with a harder question: what does it actually cost to become who God has called you to be?

That’s where things get convicting. Brea talks candidly about what she had to leave behind, why she can’t respond to disrespect the way she once did, and the quiet battle so many of the Queens in CHH are still fighting just to be respected. Then she names it — the ego problem nobody wants to say out loud, the pride that keeps gifted people standing on opposite sides when they should be building together.
