That Opportunity You Keep Ignoring? It’s No Accident It Keeps Finding You

On this episode of WhatItIzWhatItBeezLike?!, B.E.R.I.D.O.X. sat down during the Holy Culture Live-a-thon and delivered a conversation that every creative and believer needs to hear. What started as a reflection on his journey into the CHH space — from discovering Christian hip hop on the Hip Hop Zone forums to connecting with the early Philly scene — turned into something much deeper. A conversation about what happens when you stay faithful long enough for God to reveal what He’s been preparing inside of you all along.
B.E.R.I.D.O.X. didn’t start as an MC, producer, and DJ all at once. Each gift was unlocked in its own season through obedience. He didn’t chase the next title. He served where he was planted, and God opened the next door. When he supported DJs like Monty B and Whirlwind, he wasn’t trying to become a DJ. He was being faithful — and God used that faithfulness as the proving ground for a gift he didn’t know he had.
That’s the part that should challenge all of us. We tend to think we already know the full scope of what God put in us. We lean into the one gift we’re comfortable with and assume that’s the whole picture. But what if your obedience in the thing you’re doing right now is the key to unlocking something you haven’t even imagined yet?
B.E.R.I.D.O.X. also spoke to the OGs — the ones who stepped away, who told themselves their season passed, who figured it was time to let the younger generation carry it. His message was direct: pay attention to what keeps coming back to you that you can’t get away from. That restlessness you feel? That’s not nostalgia. That’s a calling that never expired. God didn’t take it back. You set it down — but He’s still holding the door open.
And maybe the most convicting part of this conversation was the simplest: you will not find rest until you walk in what God has called you to do. Not comfort. Not peace. Not fulfillment. Not until you stop running from the very thing He designed you for.
