The Birth of Ludagreat

After receiving salvation, Lu found himself in need of a new identity for his Christian musical career. As he recounts, his real name is Louis, and Lu was his childhood nickname. After prayerful consideration, the name “Lu Da Great” emerged, and he has been known as LuDaGreat ever since.

LuDaGreat,’s love for music has existed since childhood. Influenced initially by artists like Michael Jackson and later by 90s rap legends such as Tupac, Lu’s musical style blends these inspirations with his faith. His transition from secular to Christian music was immediate, fueled by a desire to create impactful songs that glorify God.

Joining God Chasers

LuDaGreat’s connection to GodChaserz was serendipitous, stemming from his previous acquaintance with Brisson, a former youth pastor at his church. Following Lu’s decision to embrace God, he rekindled his connection with Brisson, leading to a creative partnership that brought forth his first album under the God Chasers banner.

The Creation of “The Ticket”

“The Ticket,” LuDaGreat’s debut album with GodChaserz, was a labor of love developed over three years. This extended creation period allowed Lu to grow both personally and artistically, capturing his evolving experiences and insights through a collection of tracks that resonate deeply with his faith.
