Texas rap and hip hop group DFW Lights are a Christian collective of Dallas/Ft. Worth-based musicians, rappers, singers, ministers, and other creatives from various backgrounds, racial ethnicities and denominations. Featuring members BMC Musick’s husband/wife duo Shine and Harvest, Freddy Davis III, Fela Best, B.Christ, Big G Shine, James Travis, MJZ, Kendal Richardson and others, DFW Lights blend a wide range of cutting edge rap, hip hop, and r&b contemporary music styles, with sound biblical theology. The group formed in the latter part of 2020 with the sole purpose of unifying the body of Christ, in a collaborated effort to bring about change in the DFW area by shining the light of the Gospel of Christ through members using their God-ordained individual, unique gifts, and talents.

The group derived its name from Matt. 5:14, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Founded on 1 Corinthians 12 and Ephesians 4, the group’s mission is to display Christ’s example of God’s love through unity to dispel the giant of division enthroned in the Body of Christ.

“The Anthem”, their debut single, dropped February 12, 2021. In addition, the group is currently developing and producing a DFW Lights Docuvideo to combat various issues plaguing the Dallas/Ft.Worth area.
