Brooklyn Native Dashawn Robinson, also known as “Redeemed”, began rapping at the age of 12. He ministered his first song on an Easter Sunday at his home church. In his early adolescent years, like many teenagers, he succumbed to certain social pressures, which caused him to sway back and forth with secular and Gospel rap until he realized that God wanted to use his gift for the kingdom of God ONLY. Redeemed was later licensed a minister at the tender age of 17 in 2006 when he began preaching the gospel of Jesus. He now fuses his rap and his preaching and utilizes his gifts for the mighty work of God.
Redeemed has been honored to utilize the gift of words in many local assemblies and even nationally. He appeared on the Word Network’s Broadcast entitled “The Empowerment Encounter”, hosted by internationally renowned Pastor, Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant of Baltimore, Maryland, where he was able to share his gift of rap during their live broadcast. Redeemed released his first single in December of 2015 entitled “Crown of Glory” and his highly acclaimed debut project “Survival Kit” was released on October 13th, 2017 and is available on all digital media platforms. Redeemed also co-produced the theme music for BET’s new hit drama “The Family Business”. He continues to thank God for open doors and believes that now more than ever is the time to empower the world with the power of the Word!
