R.U.N 2023 (Hawthorne, CA)

The community of Hawthorne has been thriving, even in the face of economic hard times and a global health crisis the continued success of businesses like Tesla, SpaceX, and SoFi stadium shine the light of achievement and city pride. So a little extra good news is always welcome. L.A.-based Hip-Hop rap artist, Dre Wheelz, will be featured at a free mini-concert being hosted by Emmanuel Community Church at the Hawthorne Business Complex on Crenshaw and El Segundo Blvd.

Wanting to spread a positive message of hope and empowerment to the community, Dre Wheelz is partnering up with the church youth team to provide this free concert and a Hip-Hop Workshop for the youth. “We wanted to share Dre Wheelz’s music as a family-fun event,” said the coordinator of the R.U.N. Youth Ministry, Troy Goss. “We didn’t want a ticket price to interfere with that. A lot of people are still struggling financially and looking for fun, post-pandemic activities.”

Throughout the event, there will be giveaways, kid-friendly activities, candy treats and friends & family photo-ops with props at a red carpet ‘Selfie-Booth’. The event is happening Saturday, March 25th, 2023 with the fun starting at 12 noon.
