Singer-songwriter, digital creator, and social media influencer Ariel Fitz-Patrick and her God Love
Ariel Fitz-Patrick stops in on Da Fixx to debut her new single God Love and share the journey behind her success as a digital creator and social media influencer.
Who is Ariel Fitz-Patrick?
The PK grew up in the church with a very creative family. Pops would tell his kids bible stories Fitz says. “He would act it out. That was always our entertainment as children before we went to bed. And if he’d refuse to do it, we’d be so mad.” Look at God. The social media crusader is living proof that God is always working.
Fitz admits that she was not initially on board with the whole Tik Tok thing. But, “Everybody was on lockdown [during the pandemic] and there was nothing else you could do. I was on YouTube before during hair tutorials and I was just getting really sick of it. I wanted to do something a little more fun.” After experimenting with different ideas, she saw the God videos were the ones that hit. And the rest is CHH history.
Fitz-Patrick becomes a social media influencer
As a Christian entrepreneur and social media content creator and influencer, Fitz is serious about operating her business with the kingdom mindset. “Any time I have a big decision to make, even if it’s not that big I always go to my mom or go to my dad. Before I would sign anything, I would always call them, like can we pray? I really want to be mindful to make sure I’m reflecting him [God] right.”
After working in retail for a while, Fitz realized that it wasn’t for her. “I need to be an entrepreneur. I need to be a creator. Then I started to do YouTube and I was struggling. For a few years. But thank God it turned around,” the singer-songwriter attests.
Even though she’s a natural at creating digital content, Fitz’s true passion is music. “Music is my number one love. For some reason, I don’t know why, I always end up writing love songs. It just comes out. I’m like God you know my heart is for you. But for some reason when I put my pen to the paper it just always ends up being a love song.”
The songwriter confesses she’s not the best at communicating her feelings. “My mom always encouraged me when I was younger, especially when I was going through a really rough depressive time, she’d give me a notebook and a pen [and say] just write it. I’ve always had that practice of just writing out what I feel. And it translated into music.”
The scripture says that God’s timing is perfect. “Before I was like I want this. I’m going for it. It’s a good mentality to have. But sometimes you have to recognize it’s not always all about your timing. It’s about God’s timing because he can see more than you can. You just gotta trust him and be patient,” Fitz explains.
Fitz’s new single God Love is a testimony to the power of the Most High’s affection for us. “No matter what kind of situation you’ve been through, once you can understand the love that God has for you it just fills you up and heals you. You don’t need someone else to come to fill that emptiness. God can fill it, but you just have to allow him to and recognize that he’s there.”
