TRIP LEE – AT THE CROSS

In addition to sharing his story and experience in this world for the benefit of others, it’s important for Trip to continue growing and evolving in his artistry. With his last album “The End,” he explored producing his own records for the first time in an effort to bring the full vision he has for his music to life. This self-imposed standard continues with “At The Cross.”

Produced by Trip, the track features dynamic sounds and thought-provoking content for which you can always depend on Trip. Inspired by the old hymn, “At The Cross” is a reminder of the glory that is at the cross, and aims to reposition it as a picture to live your life through as opposed to a moment in history that you can live your life from.

“’At The Cross’ is one of my favorite old hymns,” says Trip Lee, “and I wondered if I could make a dope song to honor it.

This beautiful hymn reminds us of what’s available through the sacrifice of Jesus and encourages us to leave our burdens behind and walk in forever freedom. I wanted to put this view of freedom up against the views that most people champion today. There’s no destination better than the cross, and there’s no victory better than the one Jesus shared with us.

And no matter what kinds of guilt, shame, insecurities, and flaws weigh us down— we can leave those behind at the cross and enjoy the freedom He has for us.”

Trip adds, “Madison Ryann Ward is an incredible artist, and I love what her beautiful vocals added to the song.”

Trip Lee’s storied career began over a decade ago after a chance meeting with Lecrae and the Reach Records team at a show. 6 full-length albums later and over 5 years of planting and pastoring churches, all while dealing with chronic fatigue, Trip is fully committed to music once again and ready to impact the world through hopeful lyricism and handcrafted sounds.

Looking toward the future, Trip’s aim is to “reframe and replace our vision of despair and deconstruction with hope and sanctification.” His new music is the fruit of his endurance and a reminder that even when we come to what feels like “the end,” There is More to The Story.

“At The Cross” is the follow-up to Trip Lee’s 6th studio album, The End, featuring songs like “Supernatural”, and “Witness” ft. WHATUPRG and Wande, “Stone” and more
