Holy Culture Sponsors Panel At BCI 2025
Published on June 24, 2025
This past weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, the Black Christian Influencers Conference (BCI 2025) brought together a community of faith-driven artists and creators for a transformative experience. Holy Culture proudly sponsored a panel titled “Bridging Beats and Beliefs,” showcasing an engaging discussion on the intersection of faith and artistry. Hosted by Lish Speaks, the session brought to the forefront a dynamic exchange of ideas and inspiration.
Welcome to Holy Culture Radio
Lish Speaks opened the panel with an introduction to Holy Culture Radio, highlighting its dedication as the only station on Sirius XM devoted entirely to Christian hip hop and R&B. With DJs, podcasts, and shows, Holy Culture Radio strives to bridge gaps between different communities, focusing on reaching out to the youth and the unchurched. Lish expressed honor in introducing esteemed panelists from the Christian music genre.
Meet the Panelists
The stage was graced by notable individuals such as Coach tk, Kenneth Clark, Anique, Dante Pride, and Portia Love. Each panelist shared a brief introduction, outlining their journey and contributions to the creative and spiritual landscape. Kenneth, a recording artist, discussed his mission to redefine R&B with a Christian perspective. Coach tk spoke about her role as a femininity and wives coach, podcasting with her husband and advocating for biblical womanhood. Anique, a Christian rapper, expressed her love for educating others about the music industry. Meanwhile, Dante Pride shared his dual role as a Christian hip hop artist and pastor. Portia Love, originally from Detroit, emphasized her journey as a Christian rapper and makeup artist, firmly grounded as a daughter of God and proud wife.
Overcoming Misconceptions and Staying Relevant
The panel tackled common misconceptions about Christian artists who also wield influence on social media. A notable point raised was the tendency for individuals to be judged based on succinct sound bites, often misconstrued. Authenticity and transparency were encouraged, with an emphasis on assuming the best intentions of those striving to serve God through their artistry.
The discussion also explored maintaining relevance without compromising righteousness in Christian hip hop music. The consensus was that living authentically in one’s faith naturally reflects in one’s creative output. Being in tune with God allows artists to release music imbued with genuine faith rather than forced religiosity.
Supporting Women in CHH
The panelists enthusiastically discussed the growing presence of women in Christian hip hop (CHH) and the significance of creating space for female voices. The male panelists expressed appreciation for the unique talents women bring, advocating for collaboration rather than competition, highlighting the essential role of women at the creative table.
Unpredictable Success on Social Media
Personal anecdotes underscored the unpredictability of content success on social media platforms. Coach tk and Dante Pride shared experiences where seemingly spontaneous posts garnered significant attention, emphasizing the power of following divine nudges and the impact of faithful obedience. Coach tk’s transformation of her prayer closet became a viral sensation, encouraging others to create personal spaces of worship.
Advice to Aspiring Creatives
In closing, each panelist offered encouraging advice to aspiring Christian creatives:
- Authenticity: Stay true to who you are, honoring the distinct identity God has placed within you.
- Consistency: Regularly produce and release content, honing your craft within a structured system.
- Systems and Practicality: Implement effective systems for creating and sharing content, allowing for greater efficiency and impact.
- Faith Without Limits: Trust in God’s limitless potential and act upon the calling He has placed in your life.
The Black Christian Influencers conference, with its Bridging Beats and Beliefs panel, served not only as a gathering of creative minds but a testament to the transformative power of faith, authenticity, and collaboration in the world of Christian artistry.
