Nate Robinson Partners with Trae Perry & A.B On New Movement
Published on January 2, 2026
(PRESS RELEASE) Texas, USA — Coming off a world tour with Grammy Award-winning artist Lecrae, 3x Grammy-winning and multi–Dove Award-winning musician and producer, Nate Robinson is stepping out from behind the drum set and into a powerful new role as A&R; and Music Director. With a bold new vision for the future of Christian hip hop, Robinson has assembled a dynamic team and partnered with two rising independent artists, Trae Perry and A.B, to introduce a fresh, authentic sound to the Hip Hop genre. All three creatives—Nate, Trae Perry, and A.B—share deep Texas roots, having been born and raised in the Lone Star State. Together, they are intentionally crafting a distinct sound for the “Third Coast,” blending regional identity with faith-driven storytelling and modern Christian hip hop energy.
Robinson now leads a five-person creative team including a creative manager, a videographer, and the two featured artists. Together, they work in tandem with one unified mission: to tell stories of artists who are rising from the ashes and stepping into a new spotlight, driven by faith, perseverance, and purpose.
Trae Perry was Robinson’s earliest artistic discovery. A Houston native, Trae’s debut EP, “Lone Star Stepper,” captures his personal journey as a Texas artist while highlighting his Houston roots. The project tells the story of relentless effort, unseen work, and the struggle to be heard without a clear pathway to success. Trae Perry’s sound is a gritty, heartfelt reflection of his upbringing, faith, and determination.
Following Trae Perry’s discovery came A.B, a passionate visionary who, prior to meeting Nate, had ideas and ambition but no clear execution or defined sound. Through intentional mentorship and creative development, Robinson worked closely with A.B to cultivate a sound that authentically showcases his unique skill set and message. The result is A.B’s debut EP titled “Hello World.” The project chronicles the trials of enduring hardship, pushing through isolation, and navigating the music industry alone—while remaining anchored in faith and allegiance to God through every obstacle.
Both debut EPs, “Lone Star Stepper” from Trae Perry and “Hello World” from A.B, are scheduled for release in February 2026. These projects mark the beginning of a new era, not only for the artists involved, but for a growing movement within Christian hip hop that is centered on authenticity, perseverance, and spiritual purpose.
