CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD – January 27, 2024… On Saturday, December 16, 2023, Overflow Rap Battle League, The World’s First Christian rap battle league, expanded their reach with their first event in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. This event was a combination of rap battles and dance battles, in collaboration with Ovrdze Battle League. The first rap battle from this event, Sinai Lemor vs. Preach PDP, premiered on the Overflow YouTube channel on January 27, 2024.

When asked about the first Overflow event in the DMV, event organizer Crusade said, “First time in the DMV, hopefully not the last. We were able to establish a fan base here who are looking forward to Overflow’s return, along with a new talent pool of artists who want to be on the next card.”

In addition to throwing a great battle rap event, Crusade shared about the ministry impact of the event by saying, “more importantly, at the end of the night I watched a minimum of fifteen people give their life to Christ. Keep in mind this event was called “Spiritual Warfare” because it was all Christian dancers vs all openly non-Christian dancers. I would love to see more events like this where it is Overflow vs other leagues, with the goal being sharing Christ and relationship building, on and off camera.”

The Sinai Lemor vs. Preach PDP rap battle was a great clash between two experienced battlers. PDP came through with his intricate delivery and wordplay, while Sinai countered with his trademark aggressive delivery filled with bars. It was a competitive, back and forth battle. There is a strong mutual respect between the battlers with Sinai sharing, “This was a fun battle! Salute to PDP for bringing that work!”

To follow up this battle, Overflow will be releasing the other battles from their DMV event. In addition to the YouTube releases, they are planning their next live event in Connecticut on May 4, 2024. More details coming soon.
