St. Louis, MO — August 23, 2010 — Before you purchase any music on or before Tuesday, August 31, 2010, write any articles or program any radio shows, mark your calendars to interview Jai, because she is finally releasing her first single “Incredible” ft. Thi’sl on August 31,2010.
She’s no newcomer to releasing music that tops Christian music charts. Jai has 7 years of experience in the music industry. Before releasing her EP Focus in 2009, Jai sharpened her industry savvy by doing background vocals for Grammy Award winning artists like Mary Mary and Donnie McClurkin. She has also demonstrated her writing and singing abilities by featuring on Lecrae’s previous album Rebel and upcoming album Rehab as well as Trip Lee’s recent single “The Invasion (Hero)” along with a host of others. During this time Jai has been focused on recording her own album entitled “Culture Shock”. Her style, her voice, her writing ability, her approach, her testimony, her stage presence and her anointing not only make her a phenomenal artist, but one strategically placed by God for this generation.
“Because of my affiliation to the Christian Hip Hop world, I felt it only right that I release Incredible for all of the people that have supported me this far. I believe it is the perfect song to set the tone for Culture Shock. It’s an upbeat song that will make you want to jump, dance and get crunk, but more importantly it will causes you to reflect on how BIG and INCREDIBLE our God is!” exclaims Jai.
Jai has a sincere heart for the Kingdom of God, and because of that God has blessed her beyond her wildest dreams by opening doors and placing her on platforms that only HE could. Jai started her professional music career in 2003 with local producers and singers. After opening for JR (Cross Movement Records) in St. Louis, Jai and JR musically connected. They began working on creating innovative music that was not only stylistically current to pop/hip hop culture, but edifying to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jai determined that message outweighed genre and since making that decision she has shared the stage with, Tye Tribett and G.A., Byron Cage, Faith Evans, Toby Mac, Yolanda Adams, Hezekiah Walker, Rickey Smiley, and KiKi Sheard to name a few. Even gospel music legend and pioneer Kirk Franklin has labeled Jai as “The next big thing!”
Jai was recently spotlighted as the New Artist Feature on BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel, which will air during the 30th season of Bobby Jones Gospel. After her performance Dr. Bobby Jones and staff called Jai a trailblazer for the underground Urban Gospel movement.
Relevant writing and styling, originality and obedience to only Daddy God are the unique and important foundations of Jai’s music. Her testimony regarding her journey through ministry, life and music are available at any time.
