The reality is that all of us are born with a bad heart. We aren’t bothered by this fact until the day that we are confronted with The Gospel (a check-up) which details to us our true condition. Only then are we able to undergo surgery (regeneration) which actually removes our current heart (dead/sinful) that we have and replaces it with a completely brand new one (life/salvation). Although the procedure is over, our new heart must still be continuously cared for (daily bread) while it is still functioning in the body (flesh).

The underlining story is that through this Open Heart Surgery with Jesus we will receive a heart that “never stops beating”.
