Michael Berrian, Jr., known as OG Bruh Mike (OG for Obey God), grew up in the Pleasant Hill neighborhood of Macon, Georgia, and by his teens was entangled in drugs, gangs, and crime. At 16, he was arrested on 4 felony charges and served time in prison. While incarcerated, his life was transformed on February 19, 2005, when he surrendered to Christ during a prison church service.
Today, Michael is an author, Gospel rap artist, educator, and life coach. He teaches, mentors, and serves incarcerated youth through the Juvenile Justice system, (originally in Georgia, but now in the Dallas Texas area), using music and faith to help them shift from anger and violence to hope and forgiveness. His autobiography, “From a Convict to a Convert”, and his music testify to the power of God’s grace to change lives.
